During LSU’s media-viewing practice session, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier impressed with his sharp performance in individual drills. Nussmeier consistently connected with receivers Chris Hilton and Aaron Anderson, showcasing solid chemistry with the first-team offense.

LSU’s starting offensive lineup featured several returning players rather than transfers: Tyree Adams (LT), Paul Mubenga (LG), DJ Chester (C), Bo Bordelon (RG), and Weston Davis (RT). Nussmeier led the group at quarterback, with Caden Durham at running back, Trey’Dez Green at tight end, and receivers Anderson, Hilton, and Zavion Thomas rounding out the offensive unit.

LSU Opens Spring Camp with New Faces and Coaching Changes
The LSU Tigers launched their Spring Camp on Saturday, introducing a revamped roster in Baton Rouge. Head coach Brian Kelly led the team onto the field with several newcomers joining the lineup, as LSU showcased its top-ranked Transfer Portal class in the country.
On offense, LSU added seven new players: tight ends Bauer Sharp (Oklahoma) and Donovan Green (Texas A&M), wide receivers Barion Brown (Kentucky), Destyn Hill (Florida State), and Nic Anderson (Oklahoma), quarterback Michael Van Buren (Mississippi State), and offensive lineman Braelin Moore (Virginia Tech).

The defensive unit also welcomed seven additions: cornerbacks Ja’Keem Jackson (Florida) and Mansoor Delane (Virginia Tech), defensive lineman Sydir Mitchell (Texas), safeties Tamarcus Cooley (NC State), and edge rushers Jimari Butler (Nebraska), Jack Pyburn (Florida), and Patrick Payton (Florida State).
LSU also made a key coaching hire, officially announcing Kyle Williams as the team’s new defensive line coach. Williams, a former LSU All-American who played 13 NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills and earned All-Pro honors six times, brings valuable experience to the staff.
