‘This Did Absolutely NOTHING’: CFB Fans React As EA CFB 26 Releases Patch Notes Following Recent Update

New EA CFB 26 patch notes have been released nearly a week after the game was released to the general public. College Football 26 was released to players on July 10, following three days of early access for players who purchased the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle.

The new patch was released on Tuesday and includes gameplay fixes, tuning and fixes in the Road to Glory game mode. The goal of this patch appears to be to fix some of the smaller issues players were having with the game.

This led to a big reaction from fans, including some who were not happy with the EA CFB 26 patch notes.

“This did absolutely NOTHING… Nice false advertising!” one fan wrote.

“Gotta fix the rain problem. Every game in dynasty is a rain game,” one fan commented.

“Can you please fix CPU QBs being prime tom brady with a 98% completion percentage every game,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react on X.

“How about fixing these rosters. They are in an awful spot right now,” one fan wrote.

“Can you fix the middle of the field always being wide open unless your usering,” one fan commented.

“Skill caps for similar position and playing time/playing style issues please. ASAP. It’s making dynasties sit on hold,” one fan wrote.

Taking a Look at the EA CFB 26 Patch Notes

Looking at the EA CFB 26 patch notes, it was not a huge patch. The EA College Football team addressed a few issues with the Road to Glory game mode. Specifically, they adjusted the positive and negative impacts of team and user Per Play Grading events for MIKE and CB.

The team also addressed some gameplay issues. Some fixes included:

    • Fixing an issue that caused linebackers to run slower than intended.
    • Fixing an issue where blocked kicks would not play out when using left-footed kickers.
    • Addressing a rare problem where players were unable to snap the ball.
    • Addressing a problem where wide receivers would sometimes get a speed boost in some plays.

Additionally, the EA CFB 26 patch notes mentioned that CFB Live is back. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the EA College Football Twitch account will go live.
