On Thursday, five-star wide receiver Chris Henry was predicted to sign with the Oregon Ducks, and there were several outlets publishing reports regarding a potential flip. However, just one day later, the recruit reaffirmed his commitment during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
Henry’s hesitation had to do with the recent coaching changes at Ohio State. Brian Hartline, who played a key role in Henry’s commitment, has left the Buckeyes to become head coach of the South Florida Bulls. However, despite the coaching changes, Henry isn’t changing his commitment.
“Ultimately, I’ve been committed to the Buckeyes for a long time,” Henry said. “With coach Hartline leaving, it really impacted my recruitment heavily. I just had to take time to step back and reevaluate everything, sit with my family, and really think it through. Ultimately, I’ll be committing and staying committed to The Ohio State University. I just feel like they’re the right fit for me.”
Fans shared their views on this latest headline-making move by Henry Jr.
