“Do They Not Have Money?”: Fans Question Deion Sanders As Multiple Colorado Buffs Set To Enter Transfer Portal

The Colorado Buffaloes, after completing the 2025 college football season with an abysmal overall record of 3-9, would have hoped for a good transfer portal heading into the 2026 season.

However, recent developments pertaining to the Buffaloes’ transfer portal have seen a lot of outflow of players from the program, perhaps the opposite of what Deion Sanders and the Colorado-based side would have hoped for.

After losing their star wide receiver Omarion Miller following his decision to move bases ahead of the next season, freshman edge Alexander McPherson is touted to join the transfer portal.

This news has prompted a lot of fans on social media to question the issue with the Buffaloes not being able to hold on to their players.

“Okay wtf going on. They were supposed to keep him and merrit do they not have money?,” wrote a fan.

“Is Deion losing his aura in Boulder?,” stated a fan.

“Trouble in Estes Park?,” commented a fan.

“Damn they found out we are Broke,” said a fan.

“I thought Deion would be bringing in top 10 classes. He still has time,” wrote another fan.

“Expect this to happen every year. Colorado is too heavy in the portal,” remarked a fan.

“Looking like a mass exodus,” commented another fan.

“Whole team going in the portal,” remarked another fan.

After appearing in a total of 10 games this season for the Buffaloes, the 6’5″ freshman compiled a total of 16 tackles, 6 QB hurries with 1 blocked punt, & 0.5 sacks. McPherson also has a total of 3 years of eligibility left as far as his college football career is concerned.

Colorado QB Julian Lewis Shares Emotional Reaction To Omarion Miller’s Transfer Decision

“My 💔”, Lewis commented on Instagram.

Despite fan speculation around Lewis’ future with Colorado, the quarterback has explicitly confirmed his commitment with the Buffaloes this November.
