There are a lot of things in the college football world right now that are believed to need some fixes, especially the calendar, the transfer portal, and the NIL.
The ex Alabama head coach, Nick Saban, who retired with seven national championships and 11 SEC titles under his belt, decided to leave the sport due to the fast-changing atmosphere, with players prioritizing money over development and more.
The recent Lane Kiffin’s LSU move started the conversation about college football needing a commissioner, also proposed by Nick Saban during Saturday’s College GameDay appearance.

Under tv personality Blain Crain’s tweet on this, fans poured in their thoughts.
“He sounds like the man for the job,” one fan shared their thoughts.
“Them saying on @CollegeGameDay that Nick Saban should be comish of college football is beyond STUPID! Yea that’s what college football needs is an old out of touch person in charge of the sport he retired from because he didn’t want to deal with what it evolved into,” another fan disagreed.
“Nick saban sounds like the perfect candidate,” another fan wrote.
“Coach @sabanfaux for commissioner!!!!! Everything he said is 100% common sense!” another fan commented.
“Nick Saban as a CFB commissioner is the best idea yet. Make it happen!” another fan expressed excitement.
“Am I the only one who thinks it’s sus that Mickey Mouse is pushing hard for Saban to become the Dark Lord of college football? Do y’all really think he will create a level playing field for all? I’m not convinced,” another fan expressed their reservations.

Nick Saban On Having A Say In Lane Kiffin’s LSU Decision
Lane Kiffin shared in interviews that he would be making calls to coach Pete Carroll and coach Nick Saban before he makes a decision over the Ole Miss-LSU chaos.
Saban addressed his involvement in Kiffin’s decision and said that he gets a lot of calls as many view him as a senior professional who has a lot of experience in the game because of his 25-50 years of experience.
Saban claimed that whoever calls him, be it a player, a coach or a coordinator, he tries to give the best possible information in order to make the best decision that’s for the betterment of the game.
“Well, I think I get a lot of calls, because some people view me maybe as a senior professional that has a lot of experience in the game, after 50 years, 25 years of the head coach, so as a person, as a human being, you want to help everybody you can,” Saban said on College GameDay.
Saban retired after leading the Crimson Tide for 17 seasons at the age of 72 years old.
