Fans Mock Julian Sayin As Ohio State’s Injury Crisis Puts No.1 Spot In Danger

While the first half of the Ohio State vs. Rutgers game at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus saw the undefeated home side lead the game comfortably, their star quarterback Julian Sayin’s average performance in the first 30 minutes was the talking point of the game.

Ohio went into this game with a depleted roster courtesy of a lot of injuries, and this prompted a lot of fans on X to comment on Sayin’s gameplay, attributing the injuries to his performance, whilst also questioning his Heisman status.

“If Julian Sayin is still in the running for Heisman after this 1st half performance, throw away the award”, stated a fan.

“Just as expected Julian Sayin is horrible without his wide receivers he shouldn’t even be top 5 in the heisman race”, said a fan.

“Julian sayin looks mid without smith and tate”, stated another fan.

“Next offensive drive I need Julian sayin to throw some more”, remarked a fan.

“Julian Sayin sucks”, commented a fan.

“Julian Sayin not looking so hot without his safety blankets. Rutgers getting a ton of pressure on him also”, observed a fan.

“Julian Sayin is a great QB and an incredible facilitator of the offense. That being said he is not Heisman worthy”, commented another fan.

The missing players from the OSU roster include big names like Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, with defensive contributors De’zie Jones and Ahmed Tounkara also missing the game. Offensive linemen Logan George and Mason Maggs, and several other rotation players, including Jarquez Carter, Malik Hartford, Quincy Porter, and Max Roy, did not feature in the first half.

OSU Leads Rutgers 14–3 At Halftime

In the first quarter of the game, OSU running back Bo Jackson redeemed himself after fumbling through the end zone earlier in the game with a 15-yard rushing touchdown, putting Ohio State up 7-0 in the opening quarter.

Rutgers, meanwhile, managed to put points on the board courtesy of Jai Patel, who scored a 44-yard field goal to make it 7-3 in the second quarter. However, Julian Sayin did eventually redeem himself, throwing a seven-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Inniss that extended OSU’s lead to 14-3 after the end of the first half.

Ohio State entered the matchup as one of the best defensive units in the country, giving away an average of just 7.6 points per contest. Their star quarterback, Julian Sayin, has completed an impressive 80.1 per cent of his passes throughout the season.
