Lane Kiffin, after his recent move from Ole Miss to LSU, was slated to appear on the ESPN College GameDay show this Saturday ahead of the SEC Championship Game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta.
The new LSU head coach, who recently inked a massive $91 million contract spread over seven years, has reportedly backed out of his appearance on the College GameDay show, which prompted a lot of upset college football fans to voice their frustration on X.

Kiffin’s absence from this Saturday’s college game day appearance comes on the heels of the new LSU coach supposedly prioritizing the signing of a five-star recruit, Lamar Brown, whilst also assembling his staff roster at Louisiana ahead of the new CFB season.

Lane Kiffin Set To Earn $1 Million If Ole Miss Wins The National Title
LSU, as a part of Lane Kiffin’s massive $91 million contract, is set to pay him bonus incentives contingent on Ole Miss’ performance. Kiffin is reportedly set to earn $150,000 if the Rebels play in the first round of the CFP and a massive $1 million if Ole Miss wins the national championship.
After massive public turmoil with Ole Miss over the past couple of weeks, Kiffin finally announced his move to LSU as their new head coach, replacing Brian Kelly after he was fired earlier this season courtesy of a 5-3 start for the Tigers.
Kiffin, despite wanting to coach Ole Miss through playoffs, was supposedly denied the opportunity to do so by the Rebels’ Athletic Director, Keith Carter. Ole Miss under Kiffin boasts an impressive 11-1 record so far this campaign.
