Ja’Kobi Lane Cements His Place as USC’s Potential Go-To Wide Receiver
USC’s wide receiver position was seemingly the missing piece in their game this year, with several players failing to make their mark at the position. However, things took a turn at Friday night’s Las Vegas Bowl.

Lane stepped up and delivered, catching seven passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns, earning the MVP title for the game. USC has multiple wide receivers in the transfer portal, a development that has certainly caused some concern for the team.
But Lane’s strong performance in the position likely sets him up for big-time targets in 2025, and fans should be excited for that prospect after his showing in the Las Vegas Bowl.
