Quarterback Aidan Chiles, as per reports, has entered the college football transfer window ahead of the 2026 season. Chiles’ departure, after being one of Michigan State Spartans’ most important players, garnered a lot of attention from fans as soon as the news of his entering the transfer portal came out.
This news prompted a lot of Michigan state and college football fans to have a split sentiment around Chiles’ departure.
A certain section of the fanbase wasted no time in trolling and calling out Chiles amidst his transfer portal commitment.

Aidan’s decision to enter the transfer portal ahead of the next CFB season comes on the backdrop of the Michigan-based side finishing their 2025 campaign with an abysmal overall record of 4-8.
The Spartans’ performances this season caused the program to fire their head coach, Jonathan Smith, in November this season. Michigan State, meanwhile, has now hired Pat Fitzgerald as their next head coach ahead of the 2026 college football season.

Florida Emerges as Popular Fan Choice for Aidan Chiles’ Next Stop
Whilst there was a lot of back and forth amongst fans in the comments section, a few of them also suggested Aidan’s next possible college football destination.
A lot of fans want to see Aidan Chiles playing for the Florida Gators, and this makes a lot of sense considering the recent developments with the Gators.

The Florida Gators have just lost one of their star quarterbacks, DJ Lagway, after he announced his decision to enter the transfer portal.
This means that the Florida-based side is in dire need of a player of Chiles’ caliber and skill set that can help the program fill in the void left by Lagway, and it won’t come as a surprise if Jon Sumrall actively tries to recruit Aidan for the next season.
Meanwhile, Chiles finished the 2025 regular season, completing a little over 63% of his passes for 1,392 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions in eight appearances for the Spartans.
