Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore is making headlines on and off the field. Dan Lanning is handing him the reins to succeed Dillon Gabriel and lead the Ducks on the gridiron in the 2025 season. The Big Ten program went to the College Football Playoff with an undefeated record before NCAA champions Ohio State outlasted them.
Ahead of his much-anticipated 2025 season, Moore is giving back to his community. He donated $10,000 from his NIL earnings to his alma mater, Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School in Detroit, Michigan.
On3 NIL shared his generous act on Instagram.

Dante Moore Shares Powerful Message Ahead of New Season
In the On3 post, Dante Moore was seen at the event and also did an interview. He first talked about his humble beginnings at his former youth football program. The funds are aimed at helping the program with essentials like jerseys, food and travel.
“It’s been too long. I just want to give you guys $10,000 to take care of jerseys, food, travel, whatever is needed. Make sure y’all smile and smile,” Moore told the young athletes at the event.
He then connected the dots to what he is looking forward to in 2025 with the Ducks.
It’s been two years since I played in college. I’m ready to get going. The work’s been put in. A lot of people preaching for me and everything, but like I said, the work’s been getting put in and I’m excited for sure. Let’s get this going. Okay,” Moore added.
After the 2023 season, Moore transferred to the Ducks from UCLA. While he almost didn’t see any action in 2024 since Dillon Gabriel was the starting quarterback, in one season with the Bruins, he passed for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Tracing back to his high school, he led the Detroit Kings to two state championships. His high school career stats include 9,880 passing yards and 135 touchdowns.
Dan Lanning and the rest of Ducks fans have high hopes from Moore in 2025.
