On Monday, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders announced he was successfully cured from cancer. Sanders underwent a surgery to remove his bladder after doctors discovered a tumor there.
Following his announcement, Sanders also squashed all retirement rumors, clarifying he will be continuing his coaching duties for the University of Colorado Boulder’s football team.
Not even Coach Prime’s sons had much idea about the ‘mystery disease’ that he was suffering from. Sanders, who had just underwent his 14th surgery since 2021 to become cancer-free has also lost 25 pounds in this process.
While fans are rejoicing this health update and Coach Prime’s returning to college football, some fans had rather candid reactions to this news. One fan perhaps could not quite understand how a bladder works in the human body and had this to say:
“Damn .. so he can’t have kids no more ? I would hate to have my bladder no more.”

“What’s the big announcement besides this ? I feel like that’s pretty pointless for a whole press conference lol,” another noted.
Though not all fans supported such distasteful slander like the above users. Everyone seemed proud of how Sanders overcame a tough battle against cancer and has now announced his return to the sidelines.
“Cancer picked the wrong opponent. Prime Time always wins,” another wrote.
“Not even cancer can stop the legend of Deion Sanders,” one fan posted.
“Glad Prime is back to coaching and not letting anything blitz him off the field,” another commented.
“I’m glad he’s ok Deion brings so much to college football and a great person overall,” one fan admitted.

Deion Sanders puts all retirement rumors from insiders to rest
Before Deion Sanders’ press conference, certain college football insiders and analysts were certain of him stepping down from his head coaching role.
Though of him moving on from Colorado has been a recurring rumor, this time the retirement speculations seemed more vivid than ever. But Coach Prime slammed all of such chatter by clarifying once and for all. He said:
“You probably thinking something gonna happen that ain’t gonna happen…So wonderful seeing the team yesterday.” (0:55)
It’s certain that Coach Prime isn’t going anywhere from Colorado. In fact, he seems more than eager to return with the team at Boulder to prepare for the upcoming college football season. As of now, Coach Prime’s focus lies on the fall camp which is scheduled in a few days.
