“Absolutely Disrespectful to Our Troops”: Fans Blast College GameDay for Skipping Army vs. Navy Showdown

ESPN’s legacy college football show “College GameDay” is being slammed on social media for skipping the Army vs. Navy game this year. It is one of college football’s most iconic rivalries. But despite that, the show has taken the week off to prepare for the upcoming College Football Playoff.

Interestingly, College GameDay hasn’t attended Army-Navy since 2021 and will skip the 126th edition of the game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore this weekend.

In the wake of this development, many fans are disappointed as this game is called “America’s Game,” and some see this decision of ESPN as disrespectful towards the troops.

“College Gameday not going to Army/Navy is absolutely disrespectful to our troops,” one fan wrote.

“@CollegeGameDay are you seriously not doing Army/Navy College Gameday???! What a joke,” another reacted.

“No college gameday for army v navy plus bole games on the same day is a travesty,” one fan commented.

“There should be college gameday every year for army navy,” one fan posted.

“We talk about how College GameDay doesn’t go to this or that conference enough, but to schedule an off week for Navy-Army…do better,” one fan said.

“Is this some kind of sick joke? Why is College Gameday not at Army-Navy today? What a miss after a big miss during conference championship week too,” one fan wrote.
