Draft Analyst Who Stunned With Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Fall Predictions a Year Ago Wakes Up to Bookmarks and Bragging Rights After Round 1 Snub

It is fair to say that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is not the most beloved prospect in this year’s NFL Draft from certain fans’ perspectives. That is why some fans are celebrating him falling out of the first round.

One Analyst Saw the Shedeur Slide Coming, and Now Everyone’s Bookmark Is His Trophy

Football podcaster Brett Kollman returned to one of his old tweets after seeing Sanders slide out of the first round.

In response to a video of Sanders refusing to shake hands with an opposing Colorado State player, Kollman wrote:

“Call me a boomer or whatever but this dudde is not going in the first round.”

Kollman returned to the post after the first round of the draft was over on Thursday night and replied:

“Apparently a lot of you bookmarked this.”

Simply put, this is him just collecting his flowers for seeing his prediction come true.

    Why Shedeur Sanders Is Falling

More likely than not, the reason why Shedeur Sanders has fallen has nothing to do with talent. Sure, he might lack a little bit of arm strength, and he might not be the best teammate in the world, but he has a lot of the makings of a franchise quarterback.

The reason why he has fallen is because of the fit. He wasn’t going to get drafted ahead of Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Then, the New York Giants felt like Ole Miss signal-caller Jaxson Dart would fit better on the team than he would.

Not to mention the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers opted not to take a quarterback at all as they possibly wait for future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to sign with them.

Heading into the second round, the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, and maybe even the Los Angeles Rams could be teams to watch as Sanders waits to hear his name called.

But all in all, this is not a talent issue for the 23-year-old. It is simply all about the fit, which is why teams have stayed away from selecting him thus far. But it could all change on the second day of the draft.
