EA’s “College Football 26″ Gives New Shine To The Coaches In New Preview Images

Gamers have always loved EA Sports’ College Football franchise, and a sneak peek at the latest edition reveals another detail that is bound to add to the game’s realism, focusing on real coaches of the programs.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, EA Sports revealed the game before the first official trailer, which is set to drop tomorrow (May 28). The photo shows a high-quality rendition of Ohio State Buckeyes coach Ryan Day in the tunnel with his team, getting ready to take the field with the bright lights behind them.

The post added more anticipation for the game, as the covers for the game were released on Tuesday (May 27). The standard version features Alabama’s Ryan Williams and Ohio State’s Jeremiah Williams, while the deluxe version features a bevy of past and present players (USC’s Reggie Bush and Florida’s Tim Tebow can be seen prominently) and head coaches (along with a few mascots), according to a report from On3.

According to Football Scoop, those coaches include Day, along with Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman, Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham, Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin, Oregon’s Dan Lanning, and Penn State’s James Franklin. The move is seen as a throwback to the original franchise, which was first dubbed Bill Walsh’s College Football. A game was released annually from 1998 until 2013.
