New EA Sports College Football 26 Leak Reveals Dynasty Mode Coach Archetypes, Featuring Marcus Freeman, Steve Sarkisian

If you played EA Sports College Football 25, you know that one of the biggest things missing from the game was real-life college football coaches.

Instead of having guys like Dabo Swinney and Fran Brown in the game, all the coaches were made up. However, that’s changing in EA Sports College Football 26, as a new dynasty mode leak shows some of the most famous coaches in the country headlining the game.

New Dynasty Mode Leak Shows Top Coaches in the Country Featured in EA Sports College Football 26

In last year’s dynasty mode, users had the opportunity to become a college football coach based on three different archetypes: Motivator, Recruiter, and Tactician. This year, that remains the same, but each archetype is represented by one of the best coaches in the country.

As you can see, Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman represents the motivator archetype, Oregon Duck head coach Dan Lanning represents the recruiter archetype, and Texas Longhorn head coach Steve Sarkisian represents the tactician archetype in this year’s dynasty mode.

For college football fans and fans of EA Sports College Football, this is a major upgrade, as now players can launch into dynasty mode using their favorite team’s real head coach.

Lanning, Sarkisian, and Freeman aren’t the only coaches being featured this year, as EA has also announced that over 300 real coaches will be in the game, including legends like Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, and James Franklin.

All the coaches featured in the game will have archetypes based on their real-world coaching styles. This is the reason that Lanning is a recruiter while Sarkisian is a tactician. While this is great news for fans of the game, some coaches opted not to be in the game, including Colorado’s Deion Sanders, which many found shocking.

North Carolina’s Bill Belichick also won’t appear in EA Sports College Football 26, but that was predicted by many, as Belichick never appeared in a Madden video game when he coached in the NFL.

It’s a bummer to miss out on being able to recruit as Prime Time this season, but overall, this is a massive win, and further shows EA’s dedication to both listening to their fans and making the best college football video game possible.

EA Sports College Football 26 will be released on July 10, and all of these details are subject to change as it is only in the closed beta phase right now. However, coaches are likely here to stay.
