Breaking Down Leaked Features in EA Sports College Football 26 Closed Beta

In a YouTube video from “Uncle Demi,” the creator discusses some of the most notable features that were leaked via EA Sports’ recent closed beta of College Football 26.

    Dynamic Substitutions

One of the most exciting features that was discovered in the beta is the addition of dynamic substitutions that allow players to swap players at the line of scrimmage before the snap. This quality-of-life adjustment is inspired by NBA 2K’s on-the-fly subs.

If the feature is included as expected, it would allow gamers to sub their players in and out during a drive. This addition would likely come in handy most in head-to-head battles online.

    Enhanced Player Customization

The beta showcased expanded player customization options, adding more personality to Road to Glory and Dynasty modes.

Players can tweak quarterback hold styles, running stances, and positional stances, such as a sprinter-style run inspired by Robert Griffin III or unique two-point stances for halfbacks, wide receivers, linebackers, and defensive backs. Also reportedly included is former Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty’s “Michael Myers” pose.

    Coach Customizations and Visual Upgrades

Coaches are also getting a makeover, with improved customizations that will let you choose to drip out your coach. It includes detailed clothing like denim jeans with visible stitching and stylish vests.

The beta also revealed a polished scoreboard that displays post-play stats instantly, alongside sponsorships. New stadiums for FCS-to-FBS programs Delaware and Missouri State, plus enhanced team entrances for Florida State, LSU, and Georgia with dynamic lighting.

    Gameplay Tweaks and Polish

Gameplay footage from the beta shows much smoother mechanics compared to the previous game. The revamped hit stick delivers more satisfying tackles, and there have been other quality-of-life improvements.

A new physics-based tackling system, borrowed from Madden 25, makes interactions more realistic, while improved blocking makes sure linemen make smarter reads.

    Dynasty Mode Improvements

A new College Football History feature in Dynasty mode tracks national champions, conference winners, Heisman Trophy recipients, and Bear Bryant Award recipients across seasons as a “trophy room.”
