EA Sports College Football 25 Update: Boston College’s Red Bandanna Uniform and Fixes to Coaching Carousel Included in Latest Patch

The developers of EA Sports College Football 25 release a September title update. What changes have come to the college football video game?

EA Sports College Football 25 is still going strong, and the company dropped a title update on the two-month anniversary of the standard release. As always, the update added some shiny new toys to the game and patched a few bugs that have frustrated gamers for weeks. What’s in the EA Sports College Football 25 update, and how will it affect the game?

Dynasty Patches Highlight EA Sports College Football 25 Title Update

The Sept. 19 title update isn’t quite as extensive as the first few title updates in the first two months of the game’s release, an indication that most of the larger issues with the game have already been patched.

Still, there are a few updates to EA Sports College Football 25 that should excite avid players, especially in the Dynasty mode.

First, the developers fine-tuned the recruiting to give bigger bonuses and penalties to players for correctly (or incorrectly) identifying hard and soft sell pitches.

Basically, if you can figure out what a recruit wants in his college, you can really benefit from hard selling a recruit with the correct pitch. That greatly benefits my primary Dynasty coach since my archetype is “Architect,” and I often lose out to more recruiting-minded head coaches.

Similarly, higher-rated pitches have bigger impacts now. So if you’ve got a pitch with all A+ ratings, you should be able to land most recruits that like that pitch.

Most importantly, within my circles, the developers fixed a patch that prevented gamers’ coaches from receiving many job offers despite succeeding at their current schools.

Lastly, there’s a minor patch dealing with player numbers and another fixing the “auto-fix schedule” feature on custom schedules before Week 1.

    Stadium, Uniform, and Playbook Updates

Most of the other changes in the title update are cosmetic. Several teams received uniform updates or additions, including Boston College’s “Red Bandanna” uniforms and South Carolina’s 1980s throwback uniforms, which the Gamecocks will wear in Week 4 against Akron.

Additionally, the 3-3-5 defensive playbook and Run & Shoot offensive scheme got some nerdy updates, as the developers enlisted the help of actual college coaches in those schemes to adjust a few plays within those systems.

The game developers also updated a few stadiums and changed the name of Liberty’s stadium to “Williams Stadium” and FIU’s stadium to “Pitbull Stadium” to reflect recent changes.
