Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) is a massive money-maker for EA Sports — it’s safe to say College Football 25’s version of the game mode will be as well. To throw fuel into the hype train, the developers released a deep dive on CUT, which included news fans hoped for: college versions of NFL legends will be in the game.
Current and Retired NFL Stars Coming to College Football 25 Ultimate Team
Due to EA Sports’ partnership with the NFLPA, College Football Ultimate Team will be able to feature active NFL players, including Patrick Mahomes, Davante Adams, Christian McCaffrey, Josh Allen, CeeDee Lamb, Stefon Diggs, and Joe Burrow.
Additionally, there will be several “programs” with stars college football fans were robbed of playing as. In the “Ultimate Alumni” mode, players can complete sets and earn packs by attempting challenges with top athletes from previous CFB seasons.
In Season 1 of Ultimate Team, the athletes included will be TE Brock Bowers (Georgia), RB Blake Corum (Michigan), CB Cooper DeJean (Iowa), QB Michael Penix Jr. (Washington), EDGE Jared Verse (Florida State), WR Adonai Mitchell (Texas), OT JC Latham (Alabama), OT Jordan Morgan (Arizona), LB Payton Wilson (NC State), and CB Quinyon Mitchell (Toledo).
There will also be “ICYMI,” allowing players to relive iconic moments over the years, such as UCF’s undefeated 2017 season, Auburn’s “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” against Georgia, and “Kick Six” against Alabama in 2013.
But wait, there’s more! Each week, legendary All-Americans will return to campus in Ultimate Team’s “Legends” programs. One such legend the developers showcased? An 85-overall Miami Hurricanes Ray Lewis.
