    First EA Sports Patch for College Football 25 Fixed Game Play and Aesthetics

    EA Sports issued a title update on Aug. 8 that fixed a cavalcade of issues from outdated uniforms to recruiting restrictions. It was a massive overhaul that was met with mostly positive reactions from users.

    Most of the details of the title update can be found here, but here are a handful of the highlights:

    • Dynasty Mode: streamlined updates for Tuned Visit Influence effects, SuperSim, Polls, and Custom Schedules.
    • Road to Glory and Ultimate Team Mode updated for simpler configuration.
    • Added new uniform pieces for Baylor, Oregon, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Bowling Green, Northwestern, UTEP, Boise State, New Mexico State, App State, Texas State, Louisiana, New Mexico, and South Alabama.
    • Adjusted uniform pieces for the 2024 season: TCU, Arkansas, Missouri, and Baylor.
    • Various improvements made to teams’ uniform pieces for authenticity.
    • Updates have been made to the following stadiums: Holiday Bowl, Texas State, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, UL-Monroe, and Nebraska.
    • Fixed an issue where the USC mascot would disappear during the opening ceremony.
    • Fixed an issue where the incorrect mascot would appear during different situations.
    • Restored opening chants for Penn State, FSU, and Tennessee on Xbox Series S.

    Almost two weeks after issuing the Aug. 8 title update, EA Sports released another one on Aug. 19 to fix a few more lingering issues.

    The most recent title update isn’t nearly as encompassing as its predecessor, but it did offer a solution to those experiencing freezing while playing Dynasty Mode. An even bigger patch coinciding with the beginning of the season is expected to update the game even further.

    Here’s a look at the minor fixes made in the latest title update:

    • Scoreboards no longer disappear during a game.
    • Offline Dynasty files where Freshman Players were not shown in the player list for position changes were fixed.
    • Game freezing when performing an Onside Kick in both Online and Offline Dynasty Mode was fixed.
    • Fixed an issue where changing your schemes or playbooks would affect your players’ archetype and OVR based on your choice in Offline Dynasty files.
