EA Sports has released a list of CFB 26’s toughest stadiums to play in, with the majority of the venues sharing one common characteristic. Almost half of these top 25 stadiums belong to the SEC.
Here is the list of the top 25 most difficult venues to play in in CFB 26. As you can see, the SEC dominates the list.
- Tiger Stadium | LSU (SEC)
- Beaver Stadium | Penn State (Big Ten)
- Ohio Stadium | Ohio State (Big Ten)
- Sanford Stadium | Georgia (SEC)
- Bryant-Denny Stadium | Alabama (SEC)
- Memorial Stadium | Clemson (ACC)
- Ben Hill Griffin Stadium | Florida (SEC)
- Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium | Oklahoma (SEC)
- Autzen Stadium | Oregon (Big Ten)
- Michigan Stadium | Michigan (Big Ten)
- Kyle Field | Texas A&M (SEC)
- Neyland Stadium | Tennessee (SEC)
- Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium | Texas (SEC)
- Doak S. Campbell Stadium | Florida State (ACC)
- Camp Randall Stadium | Wisconsin (Big Ten)
- Williams-Brice Stadium | South Carolina (SEC)
- Jordan-Hare Stadium | Auburn (SEC)
- Husky Stadium | Washington (Big Ten)
- Kinnick Stadium | Iowa (Big Ten)
- Rice-Eccles Stadium | Utah (Big 12)
- Notre Dame Stadium | Notre Dame (Independent)
- Carter-Finley Stadium | NC State (ACC)
- Boone Pickens Stadium | Oklahoma State (Big 12)
- Spartan Stadium | Michigan State (Big Ten)
- Davis Wade Stadium | Mississippi State (SEC)
CFB 26 will continue the model of its predecessor, making it significantly difficult to play road games at certain locations. It’s not only the size of the stadium but also the sound that plays a crucial role. Autzen Stadium in Oregon, for example, is on the smaller side, but thanks to its status as one of the loudest venues in the sport, it claims a spot on EA Sports’ list.

- Alabama Crimson Tide | 89 (SEC)
- Texas Longhorns | 88 (SEC)
- Ohio State Buckeyes | 88 (Big Ten)

- Auburn Tigers | 84 (SEC)
- Duke Blue Devils | 84 (ACC)
- South Carolina Gamecocks | 82 (SEC)
- Illinois Fighting Illini | 82 (Big Ten)
SEC managed to upend the Big Ten for the top two spots on the list despite the Big Ten winning the last two national championships. Considering the top-rated program (Alabama) didn’t even make last year’s CFP, and that Ohio State defeated the second-best rated team (Texas) on its way to winning the national title, it wouldn’t be unfair to accuse EA Sports of SEC bias.
