After Florida fired Billy Napier earlier this season, many expected his top recruit, DJ Lagway, not to stay for long. The quarterback is expected to leave Florida as new head coach Jon Sumrall arrives, and there are several teams that might need his services.

5 Teams DJ Lagway Might Go To Via The Transfer Portal
James Madison University
With head coach Bob Chesney leaving, JMU needed a new coach, and they just so happened to hire Billy Napier after Florida fired him. DJ Lagway is quite close to Napier, so it would not be surprising that he would follow his favorite coach over there.
Arizona State Sun Devils
Quarterback Sam Leavitt has just announced that he will be entering the transfer portal, and this leaves the Sun Devils in need of a quarterback next year. Lagway would be a good fit, and head coach Kenny Dillingham might be a great mentor for him.
Florida State Seminoles
FSU would be an ironic choice given that Lagway is the quarterback of their eternal rivals. However, Mike Norvell would be in need of a new QB1 next season, and Lagway might be a great fit for the team, especially with Florida State doubling down on the coach after a disastrous season. Lagway might just be what Norvell needs to turn things around for the Seminoles next season.
North Carolina Tar Heels
Simply put, Bill Belichick needs a quarterback whom he could mold into his next Tom Brady, and that person could be DJ Lagway. The six-time Super Bowl winner could develop Lagway further, as he did with Tom Brady. Big Bill has had a disappointing college debut so far, but that could change if he gets the right quarterback.
Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers may have Fernando Mendoza right now, but he is expected to jump to the NFL next season, leaving the team in search of a QB1. This is where DJ Lagway can come in, as he could shine in the program, especially given its momentum from this season.
