Caswell posted an image of Winston in tribute after she and Gabriel lost the dog due to complications from surgery.
The caption read, “We ended up putting him down peacefully early this morning. Winnie, we love you more than you will ever know. We will miss your nibbles, bark, and endless kisses to the face. Can’t wait till we meet again in heaven. – dad and mom”
Winston was always with the couple, even when they visited the Ducks’ practice facility. They playfully debated whether or not he would choose to play on offense in either the running back, wide receiver, or tight end spots.
They also compared his speed to that of Ducks wide receivers Tez Johnson and Terrance Ferguson.
