Diego Pavia Shows Love To Nick Saban Ahead of LSU Showdown

Ahead of Vanderbilt’s highly anticipated SEC showdown against LSU, College GameDay analyst and former LSU head coach Nick Saban asked Diego Pavia how the Commodores were handling the “rat poison.” It is a term often used to describe unwarranted media distraction.

“First off, what’s up, Mr. Legendary Nick Saban? I didn’t get to see you last week or two weeks ago, and I wanted to say hi. But I didn’t get the chance to meet you. But I would say the rat poison is just what you think about it,” Pavia said.

Pavia, who has led Vanderbilt to 5-1 record this season, said the team remains grounded despite the external media hype. The team’s only loss this season was against Alabama two weeks ago.
