Diego Pavia’s mom, Antoinette Padilla, turned heads with her appearance for the Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback’s final home game at FirstBank Stadium. However, what caught the fans’ attention was the cozy moment caught on camera between Pavia’s mom and comedian Theo Von.
On Saturday, as the Commodores crushed Kentucky 45-17, there were several moments of Padilla and Von on the sidelines. They were enjoying each other’s company during the game and one moment even caught them with arms over the other.

The Background Behind Theo Von and Diego Pavia’s Mom Date Night
Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and comedian-podcaster Theo Von entered into wager regarding the Commodores’ game against South Carolina. As it turned out, the Commodores shut down the Gamecocks 31-7. Von claimed that Pavia previously promised that if Vanderbilt wins, he could take the quarterback’s mother, Antoinette Padilla, out on a date.
A reporter asked Von if it was the case, to which the comedian confirmed.
“Yes, that’s true,” Von said. “My goal is, I would like to marry a nurse one day. I don’t even know if I’d do it. I like being (Pavia’s) friend. I don’t want to end up being like his stepdad or something.”
Pavia then reposted Von’s reply on his official X account while revealing the missed details of their wager. He wrote:
“what @TheoVon forgot is, I said it was a deal if and only if he told @tatemcrae to lemme take her on A1 date in Nashville twitter make it happen.”
Weeks later, during Senior Night at Vanderbilt, the wager came into effect it seems as Von was seen hanging out with Padilla, walking together before the game.
