Amid growing reports about the influence of 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick’s much younger girlfriend, on the coach’s career decisions, new reports claim she derailed a major television deal between HBO and Belichick’s long-planned University of North Carolina project.
Jordon Hudson Reportedly Derailed the Project over Personal Ties
Belichick’s awkward moment on CBS Mornings wasn’t the only media mishap linked to his 24-year-old girlfriend. Following her viral April 27 interruption during the live interview, it has emerged that Hudson, according to The Athletic, had a hand in sinking a high-profile Hard Knocks project Belichick was developing with UNC.
Hard Knocks—HBO’s iconic football docuseries—was reportedly set to follow New England Patriots legend Belichick to his new chapter in college football after accepting the Chapel Hill HC job in December.
Filming was scheduled to start on March 1, with a two-month shoot that would document Belichick assembling his first Tar Heels team. Sadly, Belichick never gave his final approval, and two days later, HBO pulled the plug.
According to sources, this was related to Hudson’s request to be heavily involved in the project. However, it’s still unclear what requests she made.

“The conversation took a turn we were not comfortable with,” NFL Vice President for Commercial Operations and Business Affairs Jessica Boddy, also one of the show’s executive producers, wrote in an email to UNC obtained by The Athletic.
UNC reportedly lost $200,000 in facility fees and an opportunity to spotlight its football program under Belichick’s leadership when the HBO deal fell through.
Hudson wasn’t included in or copied on the emails obtained by The Athletic. Still, it’s reported that she referred to herself in emails as the Chief Operating Officer of Belichick Productions, a company that doesn’t exist.
