The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and so is your need to be prepared for all of tomorrow’s stars. Dive into our spotlight on Derrick Harmon, featuring his scouting report, strengths and weaknesses, his recent draft projection, and where all the experts predict he could land.

Derrick Harmon’s NFL Draft Scouting Report
There’s something to be said about a DT who’s reliable in both phases of the game. Whether you need a pass-rushing catalyst or a stout run defender with two-gapping ability, Oregon’s Derrick Harmon has what you need.
That’s why he’s a popular Round 1 target. At around 6’4 1/2″ and a playing weight of 320 pounds, with over 34″ arms, Harmon outmatches many blockers off size alone. In the run game, his anchor strength and shedding ability can be overwhelming, and his violent hands erode blocks on the rush.
Harmon’s pad level can drift high at times, and he has moderate hip stiffness, which can limit his versatility as a stunting lineman. That said, as a two-gapping Goliath with a ruthless power element and motor in the passing game, Harmon has impact starter upside.
Derrick Harmon’s NFL Draft Projection
In CSN’s 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from April 12, Harmon landed in Round 1 with the 13th overall pick. James Fragoza has this to say:
Standing at 6’5″ and 322 pounds, Derrick Harmon brought relentless pressure for Oregon after transferring from Michigan State. On top of filling the box score (10.5 TFLs and five sacks), Harmon set the tone upfront for the former No. 1 team in the nation and was the clear standout on an uber-talented defense.
And in CSN’s recent 3-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Brian Burden had this to say about Harmon’s selection to the Los Angeles Rams in Round 1 with the 26th pick:
Braden Fiske and Kobie Turner were both standouts on the Los Angeles Rams’ line in 2024 after eight-time All-Pro Aaron Donald’s retirement. Derrick Harmon could continue that resurgence along the line.
The 6’3″, 310-pounder would command double teams and be a reliable addition behind the two emerging Rams linemen. Harmon had career highs of 45 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and five sacks for Oregon after transferring from Michigan State.
