Deion Sanders Doubles Down on Shilo Sanders’ “Gift” Days After Getting Waived From Bucs

Deion Sanders’ son, Shilo Sanders, played Safety at Colorado and declared for the 2025 NFL Draft with his brother Shedeur, who was picked as the 144th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns. Shilo was undrafted but later signed as an undrafted free agent.

While Shilo Sanders made some noise in his first preseason game appearance, the next two didn’t go as well as he would’ve hoped.

In the last preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, Shilo got involved in a physical brawl with his opponent and was waived from the Bucs roster the next day.

Now, as Shilo figures out his next step in his career, his father, Deion, has reaffirmed his faith in the former Colorado safety.

During his latest interview on the ‘Coaches’ show by Aflac, Coach Prime talked about other career options Shilo is considering, like music, acting, and modeling, and added that even he almost went on that path early in his career.

“I was gonna go down that avenue once upon a time,” Deion Sanders said on the show. “I think that’s the avenue that … or streaming … that Shilo’s gonna go down, because he has that gift, man.”

“Once upon a time, I was gonna surrender one of the sports − I’m not going to say which one − to go into acting,” Sanders added. “It’s almost like God pulled the carpet out of it because the movie was gonna be shot in New Orleans. I was gonna be like this undercover cop infiltrating this corrupt police.”

Shilo Sanders Opens Up About What’s Next in His Career

A few days after the news of him getting waived from the Tampa Bay Bucs’ roster, Shilo Sanders posted a sit-down video on YouTube, telling the fans what’s next for him in his career.

Shilo said he has been talking to his agent and has been waiting for the next opportunity, and while it would be cool if it’s the NFL, he is blessed with a lot of talents, and there are a lot of things he can do other than play football.

He further teased that it might be the end of the road for him in football and he is mentally okay with it because he is confident in his other talents.

“I’m thankful for my family, my friends, and just my support system. I’ve been cool. I’ve been good.  Even if you make the team is not certain. So you always want to not really have a backup plan, but you always want to have other interests that you’re interested in. And you know, I’ve always done that my whole life, playing football with music, acting, modeling,” Shilo said.

Deion Sanders’ Colorado will face Wyoming at Folsom Field in week 4.
