Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has a love-hate relationship with the NCAA transfer portal. He’s already seen 15 of his players enter the transfer portal since it opened on Dec. 9. On the flip side, Sanders has secured some key commitments of his own.
The portal is set to close on the 28th of December and Coach Prime is making moves to capitalize on what’s left of the transfer window. “We’re not done,” Coach Prime said to reporters on Tuesday.

Sanders doubled down after that as well.
“We’re still on our way,” Coach Prime added. “Still some pieces to add to the puzzle but it is much easier when you win.”

Sanders also hinted at the quantity of players that are in talks with Colorado and are ready to commit.
“Glad to be back. We never stop recruiting so I haven’t left doing that. We have some wonderful, phenomenal young men up here that we want to join this magnificent team. I think we secured commitments from darn near everybody … They probably had not committed yet, but I know what I know.”
Two major additions to the roster are interior offensive lineman Carter Miller and defensive lineman Jeheim Oatis. Miller transferred from Louisiana Monroe, while Oatis transferred from Alabama.
Former Crimson Tide Player To Visit Deion Sanders and Buffaloes
Sanders will reportedly host Jeheim Oatis, who plans to visit Coach Prime and the Buffaloes on Monday (Dec. 23). A former consensus four-star and top-100 recruit, Oatis was considered one of the top prospects in the portal this circuit.
The former Crimson Tide player had announced his intention to enter the transfer portal in October. His reason for seeking a transfer was his reduced playing time under Alabama’s new head coach Kalen DeBoer, a development he wasn’t comfortable with, especially after starting 13 games in his first two years with Alabama.
Not to mention, Oatis suffered three offseason injuries to his shoulder, ankle, and knee — injuries that affected his ability to perform at his full potential.
Oatis will likely be an excellent addition for the Buffs, granted he is in full health. The 6’5″, 325-pound lineman will help fortify Colorado’s defensive front, adding the size and strength that it currently lacks.
