On top of the Colorado Buffaloes struggling, head coach Deion Sanders is also facing a lot of health problems and has recently undergone his 16th surgery in just a few years, As he was recuperating from the surgery, he received a phone call from one of his sons, Shilo. The unrestricted NFL free agent was trying to cheer his dad up and even jokingly asked for an enormous amount of money.
Shilo Sanders, who was released from his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, told his dad that he has too much money and has a solution to that problem, and just give that money to him. Shilo joked that if Deion Sanders gave him that amount of money, the elder Sanders would not have to get any surgery ever again.
“But you have too much money to be getting all these surgeries though,” Shilo told Deion. “If you give me $5 million just to have, I will make sure that you don’t have to get surgery anymore. Yes, I’ll make sure you have the best care.”

After the Colorado Buffaloes lost to TCU 25-21, Sanders admitted to reporters that he had been feeling pain in his left foot, and it was so painful that he had to take his show off. This is his latest surgery since getting his bladder surgically removed after a cancerous tumor was discovered.

Why Did Deion Sanders Get Another Surgery?
While his last surgery was to remove a cancerous tumor, this latest one was to deal with another blood clot, which reportedly formed in his left foot once again. Sanders is known for his blood clot problems, as two of his toes on his left foot have been amputated already because of blood clots.
He has been having blood clot-related problems since 2021 and has had several surgeries already because of it. Because of these blood clots, it was then discovered that the NFL Hall of Famer, best known for winning Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys dynasty in the 1990s, had a cancerous tumor during a routine checkup to check for blood clots.
As for will he be able to coach Colorado against Iowa State this week, Sanders said he wants to be back on his feet as soon as possible.
“I’m going to be all right,” he said. “Prayerfully, I’ll be right back tomorrow because I don’t miss practice. I don’t plan on doing such.”
The showdown against Iowa State is scheduled for Sunday, with the Buffs getting a bye week after.
