Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders, had a historic slide in the 2025 NFL draft. After being projected to be a first-round pick, Sanders fell to the fifth round before he was selected by the Cleveland Browns. He is now in a difficult QB situation as he competes for the starting job with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.
Despite that, Sanders has maintained a positive attitude. On Saturday, a mic’d-up video of him at training camp was posted on the Cleveland Browns’ Instagram account. In the video, he got in the huddle and told his teammates to set the tone by getting to the endzone.

This led to a mixed reaction from fans in the Instagram comments.
“Dillon better,” one fan wrote.
“QB1 Legendary 12,” one fan commented.
“Anybody rooting against this guy is a true hater,” one fan wrote.
Fans continued to react in the comments.
“Let Flacco get rocked for the first 5 games and then let Shedeur start the rest of the way. Gotta give him a chance to show what’s he’s got before next yrs draft,” one fan wrote.
“It’s sad some people that’s not even Browns fans want to see sanders be more successful then the Browns fans and the owners smh,” one fan commented.
“I know he’s humble and thankful but i hope he gets far tf away from that team as possible,” one fan added.

Shedeur Sanders Told Deion Sanders Not To Come to the Cleveland Browns Training Camp
Deion Sanders had plans this offseason to visit both Shedeur and Shilo Sanders at their respective training camps. He visited Shilo at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers camp in July and had plans to do the same with Shedeur in Cleveland. However, according to an interview Coach Prime did on Monday, Shedeur told him not to come.
Coach Prime explained that Shedeur said that he is not where he wants to be right now. So, he told his father not to come until he is where he needs to be. Deion Sanders praised his son for his mentality and how he is acting and thinking like a pro.
Shedeur Sanders has started to impress at Browns training camp, throwing some impressive passes. However, at this stage, it is unlikely he will win the starting quarterback job at the start of the season.
