On Sunday, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders dropped new ‘Well Off Forever x Nike Air DT Proto 92’ sneakers on Instagram and Threads, coining them the “DT92’s.” The sneakers are decked in vibrant red suede, accented by black overlays, white leather swooshes, and gold hardware. Moreover, they include a bold Velcro strap and heel plaque.
However, there’s a special meaning attached to these shoes. After Shedeur Sanders was surprisingly not selected on the first two days of the 2025 NFL Draft despite pre-draft projections showing him as a first-round pick, his sister Deiondra posted a photo of her son Snow wearing a t-shirt that read:
“Those Rejected Will Be Respected.”
That same message is stitched in the midfoot strap of the sneakers, along with ‘Well Off Forever’ branding at the heel.

Shedeur was eventually picked in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns.
How Deion Sanders Reacted to Shedeur Sanders’ Fifth-Round Selection
Each one of the Sanders clan reacted in different ways to the unexpected draft-day fall of Shedeur Sanders. However, the most surprising reaction came from Deion, who turned biblical.
Soon after the fifth-round pick, Deion tweeted:
“God is Good!”

A day later, Coach Prime sent a message to all those who were drafted to the NFL this year. He wrote:
“This too shall pass! There’s 221 of y’all that need to know the storm you’re facing & getting the best of you right now shall pass.”

Moreover, two days later, Deion shared another biblical message in the wake of Shedeur’s fifth-round selection, writing:
“A lie don’t care who tells it or repeats it. Its goal is to be heard. The truth could be standing right in front of u consistently for years but u don’t see it because a lie is in your mind. The Truth may not be as popular as a lie but the Truth wins in the end.”

During his appearance on former player Asante Samuel’s “Say What Needs to be Said” podcast, Sanders said he was “hurt” by baseless rumors after the draft, especially those claiming Shedeur was “brash,” arrogant, and unprepared or wore headphones during interviews.
For the 2025 season, Shedeur Sanders is not expected to start for the Browns, who have a crowded QB room, including Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel.
