Deion Sanders’ son, Shilo Sanders, is hard at work trying to earn a spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster for the 2025 NFL season. Shilo went undrafted at the 2025 NFL Draft, after spending the last two years of his collegiate career under his father at Colorado, but quickly managed to get an undrafted free agent deal with the Buccaneers.
It seems that Shilo could be on his way to earning that spot on the roster, based on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster. On Sunday, the account gave a shoutout to Shilo Sanders’ work during the preseason training camp, posting a video of him doing drills.

Fans quickly reacted, with several people calling for the Buccaneers to give Deion Sanders’ son a chance:
“GET HIM SIGNED ✔️”wrote one person.
“I’m a Falcons fan but I want to see the young man ball out for the haters !” Said someone else.
“He’s gonna be a good hybrid for that defense. They definitely gone move him around,” pointed out one fan.
“I truly hope Shilo makes the team it’s going to be tough with JJ Roberts also trying to make it. Realistically the best bet is he’s going to have to beat out Kaevon Merriweather,” claimed another.
“Think he should make the team as a depth piece and possibly grow into more. Like his aggressiveness on the ball,” said someone.
Not everyone was as positive about Shilo Sanders or his dad, however.
“Scrub his dad pays you to let him “TRY” to play and make stats… seems a bit bronnybron just like Cleveland doing” Posted one person

Deion Sanders on the changes to life after bladder tumor removal surgery
As his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, continue to battle for a spot in their teams’ plans for the 2025 NFL season, Deion Sanders has been fighting a very different battle. A week ago, it was revealed that the Colorado coach had been absent for most of the spring and summer due to a cancer diagnosis, which forced him to undergo a dangerous tumor removal on his bladder.
During a press conference last week, in which he revealed the situation which he had been going through, Sanders admitted that his life has changed forever:
“I can’t pee like I used to,” Sanders said with a laugh. “… I depend on Depends. … I’m making a joke out of it, but it is real. It is real. It is real. If you see a port-a-potty on the sideline, it is real, I’m just telling you. You’re going to see one at practice, on the sideline [in games].”
Deion Sanders hadn’t made any public appearances since the end of spring practice in April and the Big 12 media days in early July. While he had admitted to having been recovering from a health issue, he didn’t reveal the true reason until last week.
