Deion Sanders shares a special relationship with all his children; however, the same is not the case with his ex-wife, Pilar Sanders.
When Deion Sanders came to Colorado, he had three of his children enrolled with him, as Shedeur and Shilo joined him on the football team, his youngest daughter, Shelomi, joined the women’s basketball team.
However, her journey wasn’t the same as her brothers. Shelomi decided to enter the transfer portal after spending one year at Colorado.
Deion Sanders didn’t agree with Shelomi’s decision and called it stupid, which wasn’t very well received by Pilar.
In one of her YouTube videos posted one year ago, Pilar said:
“It’s very disturbing, because on all fronts, all the children, everyone in his life, they’ve done nothing, and at times, at point of time, we’ve done nothing but support everything that he’s done. I support my children in whatever they want to do. I support them having autonomy. I support them doing their own research and having their own drive and making decisions for themselves.” (1:50)
“So yes, if, if I saw which I did, shall Am I do what she needed to do to enter the portal and decide why,” she added. “So let’s back up and just go to the beginning. Shalom. I was never given a fair chance to really get recruited. Okay?”

While Coach Prime confessed that he tried to catchup with Shelomi and do the best he could, he also applauded her and said that he’s very proud of her.
The clip ended with Shelomi giving her “good old dad” a heartwarming hug and appreciating his effort in the run as he recovers from his health issues.
