Deion Sanders’ Ex Wife Pilar Sanders Drops 2-Word Message for Son Shilo Over Bucs Mini Camp Shenanigans

Safety Shilo Sanders does not get as much attention as many other members of the Sanders family. His father, Deion Sanders, is always in the news for what he says in the media and for his success with the Colorado Buffaloes as their coach. His brother, QB Shedeur Sanders, is one of the most talked-about prospects from the 2025 NFL draft. While Shilo is a good player, he went undrafted this spring.

While Shilo was not drafted, he was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. He has since been a participant in various camps with the Bucs throughout the summer. He appears to have impressed the coaching staff and could make the team’s 53-man roster for next season.

On Tuesday, an image of Shilo Sanders was posted on social media from the Bucs mini-camp. Deion Sanders’ ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, reposted the image to her Instagram story with a two-word message.

    “My Son!” Pilar Sanders wrote.

Shilo Sanders Is the Oldest Child From Deion Sanders’ Second Marriage

Deion Sanders has been married twice. He was first married to Carolyn Chambers from 1989 to 1998. Together, the couple had two children, Deiondra Sanders and Deion Sanders Jr. Shortly after his divorce from Chambers, Coach Prime married Pilar Sanders in 1999. The couple stayed together until 2015, when they got a divorce.

Before their breakup, Deion and Pilar Sanders had three children together. Their first child was Shilo Sanders, followed by Shedeur Sanders, and lastly Shelomi Sanders.

Deion Sanders had the opportunity to coach both of his sons with Pilar during college. They both went to Jackson State while he was there, and followed him to the Colorado Buffaloes.

This past season, Shilo Sanders dealt with injuries, and as a result, did not play a full season. However, he performed well during the time he was available. He registered 67 total tackles, including 45 solo efforts, two passes defended, one sack and one forced fumble.

Now, both Shilo and Shedeur Sanders are moving on to their pro careers without their father. Both of them were coached by Coach Prime throughout their development as players, so it could be a challenge for them not to have him in the NFL. Only time will tell. Shilo Sanders is trying to earn a spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season. Shedeur Sanders is trying to earn playing time in a chaotic QB room in Cleveland.
