Deion Sanders is among the most iconic dual-sport athletes turned coaches in the current times. The Colorado head coach has two Super Bowl titles under his belt, along with various other achievements.
Coach Prime recently faced a life-changing situation when he was diagnosed with a bladder tumor, due to which he had to take two months off his head coaching duties and spend time at his home in Texas recovering.
The Colorado head coach, since then, has talked about how it gave him a new perspective in life, talking about how he wants to get new luxury cars and create a bigger space for the kids at his home.
He also gained a new perspective during a recent LA trip that he discussed on a Zoom webinar on Wednesday, Aug. 13:
“I just seen something in L.A. that I’ve never seen in my life,” Sanders said on a Zoom webinar Wednesday, Aug. 13 to a group of youth organizations. “I was there to shoot a commercial … and they were taking me to the set. And we went up under this underpass. And I seen like this homeless population there, and the dude had like a 50-inch TV. I had to stop. I mean, I ain’t never seen nothing like that in my life. First of all, how is the TV working? Dude, he was watching the morning news. … How?”
“Blew my mind,” Sanders said. “And it encouraged me. Because I said, ‘If he can do it, we can do it. If he can do it, we can do it.’”
