On Monday, Deion Sanders Jr. published a video to his story showing the typical defiance of the Sanders clan to adversity. The video seems to show him driving, while listening to rap music and drinking a soda from a “Five Guys” cup.
In the video, he’s seen wearing his now almost trademark black sweater and chains. He added the following comment on top of the video:
“Tooooooo disrespectful… I can’t fake it”
Deion Sanders Jr. has been supporting his father, Deion Sanders, through an unspecified health issue in recent days. While the health issue in specific has been a mystery to the media, it has kept the coach out of Boulder for almost a month now. Last week, Coach Prime gave the following updates on his Instagram account:
“1 step closer Everyday, I’m Walking it out! Our Team is working their butts off therefore I’ve got to match that 🔥they have! #CoachPrime @redcon1 gave me what I needed!” Wrote sanders on thursday

Deion Sanders on how rehab has allowed him prepare himself for the 2025 season
During a recent interview on “Say What Needs To Be Said”, Deion Sanders opened up on how the rehab for his undisclosed health issue has allowed him to reflect on the season ahead:
“I’ve done no media. I’ve done nothing for a minute,” Sanders told Say What Needs To Be Said. “So coming on with you is something…”
“I ain’t been in front of nobody for a minute. I lost about 14 pounds. I’m coming back, but I needed this.”
He further added that he has been using his time to brush up on his tactics, looking at some of the greatest performances in the history of football. Deion Sanders explained that he has always been a fan of watching film:
“I watched film right up till kickoff man,” Coach Prime added, of his devotion to studying his rivals. “I have a library of VHS tapes man.”
“There’s this iconic picture of me sitting in the locker room before the Super Bowl and I’m sitting up there with some dollar sign drawers. Those were my lucky drawers.”
“And I’m looking at the VHS tape of my opponent. I studied so much bro, I knew everything about them Cats. I knew them like the back of my hand.”
Regardless of how this period has allowed Deion Sanders to grow in a personal capacity, the reality is that his absence during a key period of the recruitment game will likely hamper the Colorado Buffaloes’ 2026 class.
