Deion Sanders took some time off from his Colorado head coaching duties and spent some time at his home in Dallas, Texas.

The extended stay in Texas came as a result of an unspecified illness that Coach Prime experienced after Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft chaos, which even led him to lose over 14 pounds in weight.

Coach Prime was accompanied by his children, Shelimi, Deion Sanders Jr. and Deiondra during this time. While, Shilo and Shedeur, who are living in Tampa and Cleveland respectively, couldn’t make a trip due to training.

During Deion Jr.’s latest vlog that’s titled “Last Day In Dallas: It’s About That Time,” he takes a moment to cherish the time he spent with his dad as he struggled with his health.

Sitting by the pool, as he smoked his cigar, Deion Jr. said:

“It’s the last day here, bro, y’all didn’t know that, day coming to end, kind of sad. I’m not gonna lie to you, I learned to really actually love this place. I really never just stayed out here much. Always stay like a hotel downtown. But this s*it sucks. It’s not even about being here, It’s like the battle that was fought, the battle that was fought and won, that’s like the main important thing. Boy didn’t leave the house in two months, I’m buying new couch for the red house and everything. (8:40)

“But it’s a blessing. He’s gonna tell y’all whatever he went through very soon, and I got a lot of it recorded on video, so you’ll be able to see what he went through.”

Deion Sanders Jr. Once Shared How He Hated Telling People His Name

Coach Prime has three sons and Deion Sanders Jr. is the only one that does not play a sport like his brothers.

Being a son to a popular athlete like Coach Prime isn’t an easy task. While it comes with its pros, there are some downsides to it, which is why Deion Jr. didn’t like sharing his real name to people earlier.

“I used to never like telling people my name,” Sanders Jr. said. “I hated that s**t. I would just say DJ or just junior….I hated telling people because it’s like you just you want to get that s**t on your own. I want you to respect me for me.”

While he may not play sports, Deion Jr. is an integral part of the Colorado football team, managing the behind-the-scenes arrangements with his channel called “Well off Media.”

When she's not covering the latest in college sports, Saima enjoys psychoanalyzing public figures, baking her favorite treats, and playing football with friends. Her writing reflects not just a love for the game, but a deep appreciation for the people and stories that define it.
