Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders recently jested about Gillie and Wallo’s late arrival in in Texas. The Hall of Fame coach said he was disappointed the cousins missed the opportunity to come to a fishing excursion.
In a video uploaded on the “Well Off Media” YouTube channel on July 30, Sanders said:
“I’m so mad that y’all didn’t get a chance to come to Texas and fish.” (14:45)
The $60 million worth coach (as per Celebrity Net Worth) thought bringing “Gillie Da King” and “Wallo267” to the Colorado practice side would benefit his team to inspire them while putting life beyond football into perspective.
During the back and forth, Wallo told Sanders, and the camera crew, to wish Gillie a happy 50th birthday, even though Gillie is celebrating his 40th birthday.
“Happy 50th birthday; both of y’all got to say happy 50th birthday. My dog turned 50; make sure you get that, please,” Wallo said. (12:42)
Gillie and Wallo, the cousins who are the masterminds behind the successful podcast “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” wanted to make the trip but for whatever reason, their chance was lost.

Gillie Offers Prayers and Support During Deion Sanders’ Health Recovery Journey
The dialogue eventually unmasked Deion Sanders’ incredibly earnest concern for those around him, and profound connections. In covering recent health challenges, Sanders provided further evidence of what friendship means to him.
“You know when you’ve got some good friends when folks are telling you they didn’t deserve this, you know what I mean?” Coach Prime said. (13:20)
The exchange shifted noticeably in tone when Gillie expressed his concern for Coach Prime.
“Absolutely, you have been in my prayers,” he said.
The exchange also revealed Wallo’s willingness to try new experiences outside his comfort zone. He mentioned his fishing attempts, admitting:
“I thought I was fly fishing out there with Duval, but I didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t even know how to throw it far. I don’t know if I was holding it the right way.”
Sanders has a track record of bringing in recognizable figures to speak to his team throughout his coaching tenure. He believes these experiences are formative events for his players’ character and mindset. The 57-year-old wants his athletes to hear from folks who have dealt with real-world issues, and got stronger.
What Deion Sanders has done with the Colorado program has put a spotlight on a different method for player development. More than just providing traditional football practices, he provides a method that includes holistic preparation for people, and life skills.
