Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has shown plenty of vulnerability this week. On Monday, at a press conference with the Colorado medical team, he revealed that he underwent bladder removal surgery because of a cancerous tumor discovered on it. Fortunately, he also said that the surgery was a success.
Since the announcement of his fight with cancer, several videos have been posted on the “Well Off Media” YouTube channel showing the pain Coach Prime, who is worth $60 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, faced during his cancer fight. A video posted on Friday included a clip of Sanders talking to one of his doctors about the pain he has been experiencing while trying to urinate.
“Let’s prepare me because last time I wasn’t prepared, not by you guys, but I wasn’t prepared personally for the pain that came from when I tried to pee,” Deion Sanders said (Timestamp 9:55). “That was the most, I’ve never felt pain like that in my life.”
Sanders’ doctor then told him that she thinks he will do better this time. Sanders did not want to take any risks based on his response.
“I don’t want to think though. Even the gentleman you had me speak to, he said the same thing. Like he had never experienced nothing like that. Burn was an understatement. I was in the fetal position screaming. Blood was all over the hospital floor. That was pain. Then probably eight minutes after that I still felt like that until it finally cleared.”
The doctor then explained that she thinks part of the issue was the bladder. She spoke about how the bladder was likely spasming while he was trying to urinate. Her explanation continued, telling Coach Prime that now that his bladder is removed, the nerve endings that were causing the pain should no longer be there.

Deion Sanders’ Return to Colorado Inspires His Players
Part of what people love about Deion Sanders is that he is not afraid to speak about uncomfortable topics. That has extended to his health struggles. He has been open about the struggles of fighting cancer, which has inspired many people.
This week, many of his players spoke about how his return has breathed life into the team. Safety Carter Stoutmire spoke about this after practice on Wednesday.
“Whatever hardship trials he goes through, he always makes it through,” Stoutmire said. “Seeing him back, just a breath of fresh air for the whole team.”
Other players made similar comments throughout the week.
