Deion Sanders’ Longtime Friend Turns Back on Colorado HC While Labelling Buffaloes’ 2025 Season a “Disaster”

Deion Sanders’ Colorado was having one of the worst seasons so far this year since he took over the program; however, the devastating 53-7 loss against the Utah Utes in week 9 left a huge mark on various fans and analysts’ faith in the program.

During a recent episode of ‘The Night Cap’, Shannon Sharpe offered his thoughts on Colorado’s situation in 2025 while labelling the season a “disaster.”

While Sharpe admitted that Colorado doesn’t have the staff or the resources they have at LSU, it’s still inexcusable for Prime Time to lose like this.

“This has been a disaster this year. Colorado doesn’t have the expectations LSU does. Now, that doesn’t excuse Time for not losing games or losing like this. But to try to compare Colorado to LSU without the staff, without the resources, without the horses, is just a false equivalence. Now, if Time was at Florida, he’s at Florida State, and he was losing with the expectations, that’s one thing.

“Not to excuse them, this has been a disaster this year. Now, I didn’t have expectations. They lost their two best players. Well, three of their best players, Jimmy Horn, Travis, and Shador. So I didn’t have the expectations. So I want y’all to tell me, what did y’all expect? Realistically, what did y’all expect Colorado’s record to be?.”

Deion Sanders Expresses Frustration After Massive Utah Loss in Week 9

It’s no surprise that Coach Prime was disappointed with the 46-point loss they faced against Utah on Saturday, and he didn’t shy away from accepting defeat.

During the post-game press conference, Coach Prime called the situation bad and said that this is probably the worst beating he has had, except when his momma whooped him as a kid.

He further expressed that he was just dumbfounded with the loss, saying that he was left questioning how this could happen.

Talking about being outcoached by Kyle Whittingham, Sanders said that the opponent coach “kicked his b*tt today”, admitting that if it were a one-on-one between them, Whittingham would’ve won by a significant margin.

Concluding the situation, the Colorado head coach said that they need to figure it out, “like now.”
