After Deion Sanders faced one of his biggest losses at Colorado, he was ready to push all the possible buttons to make sure it didn’t happen again, and the team worked hard enough to win on Saturday.
The Buffaloes lost in a devastating 53-7 game against the Utah Utes in Week 9, which led to Coach Prime not leaving the Colorado facilities for days after the game.
Trying to turn the situation around, Sanders brought Pro Hall of Famer LB Ray Lewis to Colorado for a motivational talk with the players. Lewis called out the team for not having any camaraderie among them, drawing various reactions from fans online.
Pro Football Hall of Fame LB Ray Lewis spoke to the Buffs ahead of Arizona:
“There’s no camaraderie. There’s no brotherhood.”

“We get it. this team hates each other. We don’t need any more guest speakers. We need a competent coaching staff,” one fan bluntly said.
“90% of the kids in the room don’t know who Ray Lewis is. They were 1-3 years old when Madden 05 came out. They haven’t responded to Warren Sapp, Marshall Faulk and even Deion Sanders. The generation of kids are different. He needs to bring in LeBron or the Twitch streamer kids,” another fan added.
“There’s no discipline to run the plays right – sending cheerleaders onto the field doesn’t work if the foundation of discipline isn’t there,” another fan commented.
“This is what happens when you bring in 50 transfers every season. There won’t be camaraderie. There’s no bonding or team building. A bunch of individuals with individual goals. Playing time and the NFL,” another fan added.
“He’s got a culture and belief problem, Ray Lewis is spot on,” another fan agreed to Lewis’ statement.
“This the bad side of hitting the portal bringing in people with different mindsets will never work it’s a team sport,” another fan pointed out.
