    Deion Sanders & Team Sweats It Out for Colorado’s 2025 Football Season Ft. Drelon Miller

    With many of Deion Sanders' cornerstone players leaving, attention is on the upcoming season and up-and-coming athletes.

    Deion Sanders was on the sidelines of the Colorado Buffaloes as they ended their 2024 season with a 9-4 record. Before Coach Prime took over in 2023, the program had been hovering over a one-win season, but his becoming the head coach saw things change.

    Now, with many cornerstone players ready to leave for the NFL, attention is on the upcoming season and up-and-coming athletes.

    Deion Sanders and Team Hard at Work for 2025 Season

    The Buffaloes’ Instagram page shared pictures of players working hard at Colorado’s practice facility alongside Sanders. The pictures consisted of names ready to headline the team in 2025.

    RJ Johnson, Safety

    A 6’2”, 180-pound safety from Eagles Landing Christian Academy, Johnson tallied nine tackles last season, five of which were solo. He also had the most number of special teams snaps, with 212.

    Carde Smith, Offensive tackle

    A 6’5”, 290-pound offensive tackle from Williamson High School, Smith is a freshman. His recruiting profile says he’s a consensus four-star recruit and was listed as the No. 29 player at his position by 247Sports.

    Quency Wiggins, Defensive end

    Wiggins is a 6’5”, 265-pound sophomore DE from Madison Prep. He played in 11 games last season, with most of his snaps coming on special teams. Wiggins was a highly sought-after recruit, as he was ranked as the No. 38 overall recruit in the 2023 class by 247Sports.

    Savion Riley, Safety

    Riley is a 6’2”, 200-pound sophomore safety at Colorado from Kennesaw Mountain. He played in nine games for Colorado last season, tallying 12 total tackles. He was ranked as the No. 53 recruit at his position before the 2024 season.

    Joseph Williams, Wide receiver

    Williams is a 6’2”, 195-pound wide receiver who flipped his pledge from Utah to Colorado. He was at Mansfield Summit High School, where he accumulated 2,054 receiving yards and 35 touchdowns. He also played defense, recording 31 tackles and three interceptions.

    Jordan Seaton, Offensive tackle

    The 6-foot-5, 285-pound athlete comes into the offseason as the offensive tackle for the Buffaloes. After his true freshman season, Seaton was regarded as a top Colorado offensive lineman and was named to Freshman All-American honors by multiple outlets.

    Drelon Miller, Wide receiver

    The wide receiver ended his true freshman season at Colorado with 32 receptions, 277 receiving yards, and three scores. He attended Silsbee Tigers High School, where his team saw great success, going 37-10 in his time there.
