“Coach Prime Built Different”: $60M Worth Deion Sanders’ Inspiring Cancer Journey Draws Heartwarming Reactions From Fans

Deion Sanders was known to have been battling an unspecified illness for the past two months, during which he spent the majority of his time at his Texas home recovering and healing.

The Colorado head coach, who has a net worth of $60 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), and his medical team held a press conference on Monday at 11 am to discuss his health condition with the fans for the first time.

During the press conference Coach Prime revealed that he was diagnosed with bladder tumour and also shared that it is fully cured now.

It was also reported that Sanders lost over 25 pounds during the treatment of his illness and even faced difficulties peeing.

While some fans were expecting bad news from Coach Prime in terms of his Colorado future, they were thrilled to know that he is not going anywhere and that he is going to be safe.

“Coach Prime built different,” one fan commented.

“Incredible newsCoach Prime beats cancer! Wishing Deion Sanders continued strength and health on and off the field,” another fan added.

“It takes 5 years out from diagnosis for a cancer diagnosis to be considered cured. He’s not cured, he’s in remission or there is no sign of cancer on his scans. It’s insulting to throw that term around so loosely,” another fan expressed their thoughts.

“And people gone still find away to hate him. W Deion,” another fan wrote.

“Glad Coach Prime’s got that taken care of, speedy recovery!” Another fan expressed happiness.

“Heartwarming to hear Deion Sanders is now cancer-free after his bladder tumor removal and wishing him continued health and strength,” another fan added.

Deion Sanders Jr Gets Candid About Dad’s Struggles After Shedeur’s Draft Chaos

Deion Sanders and the whole family got a massive shock when Shedeur Sanders, who was expected to get selected during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, slid to the fifth round and was selected as the 144th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

This incident became the talk of the town in the football world, with many analysts like Stephen A. Smith blaming Coach Prime for Shedeur’s draft slide.

The whole event had a lasting impact on Coach Prime according to his eldest son Deion Sanders Jr. He said during Monday’s episode of “The Morning Run”:

“He was dealing with this back in the spring and throughout the whole draft. People were celebrating when [Shedeur Sanders] didn’t get drafted in the first or third round.”

“It’s like you don’t really know what the family is going through during this whole time. Y’all don’t know none of that,” he added.

Deion Sanders is now back in Boulder to resume his head coaching duties ahead of the 2025 college football season.
