Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has not been available for many of his coaching duties over the past month. In early June, he was forced to miss Colorado’s annual summer football camps because he was in Texas dealing with an unspecified health issue.
Fortunately, Deion Sanders, who is worth $60 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth, is returning to his duties. Notably, he will be available at the Big 12 media days.
The media days began on Tuesday but continue on Wednesday. Sanders did not appear on Tuesday but announced that he will appear for a press conference on Wednesday. The 57-year-old made this announcement on Instagram with a three-word caption to get fans excited.
“On the way,” Sanders wrote.

Sanders is scheduled to appear for a press conference at the Big 12 media days at 2:20 p.m. ET.
The news that Sanders will be available for the Big 12 media days did not come as a surprise. There have been indications from people close to Sanders over the past few weeks that his health is improving and he was nearing a return to his coaching duties.
Former NFL player Adam Jones spoke in an interview last week about Deion Sanders after visiting him.
“Deion’s doing good,” Jones said. “I think he got another week at home before they get started. He’ll be there. He’ll be ready to go.”
Deion Sanders Has Struggled with Health Issues in Recent Years
Unfortunately, health issues have been common for Deion Sanders in recent years. This is not the first time during his coaching career that he has been forced to leave the team to deal with his health problems.
The most notable incident came in 2022 when he had two toes on his left foot amputated because of blood clots and complications from a previous surgery. Coach Prime has continued to deal with blood clot issues since that incident.
In 2023, he missed Pac-12 media day because he needed to undergo a procedure to remove clots in both of his legs. However, his recent health problem has been unspecified.
Regardless of the issue, Deion Sanders is ready to return to his coaching duties and is expected to be available all of next season. Fans will get to hear from him on Wednesday at the Big 12 media days.
