Last season, there was a big debate around whether the Texas Longhorns should have started Arch Manning or Quinn Ewers in the College Football Playoff. The Longhorns stuck with Ewers as their starter and reached the semifinals before getting eliminated by the Ohio State Buckeyes. Next season, there will not be a debate as Ewers is starting his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, and as a result, Manning will take over as the starter.
On Thursday, Texas wide receiver DeAndre Moore sat down for a media availability. He was asked about the difference between Ewers and Manning and made a cryptic comment about how “One had baby wheels and one had super wheels.” While he did not indicate which one is which, many fans assumed he was throwing Ewers under the bus.

This led to a big reaction from fans as they pushed back against Moore’s negative comments about Ewers.
“Sweet! Throwing past teammates under the bus! Typical Texas Clownery!” one fan wrote.
“This is why Ryan Wingo is WR1,” one fan commented.
“We know what he means and that it’s not even wrong, but it comes off as throwing a legendary Texas quarterback who brought us back under the bus and that’s not cool,” one fan added.
Fans continued to react in the comments.
“So super wheels couldn’t beat out an injured baby wheels?? My confidence in Arch =Simms 2.0 grows everyday!!!” one fan wrote.
“What a classless program down there in Austin,” one fan commented.
“If arch was so much better why was he sitting last year? Really doesn’t make any sense to me,” one fan added.

Arch Manning Eager To Prove Himself This Season
While there is a lot of hype around Arch Manning, he is not getting caught up in it. At the SEC media days in July, he spoke about how he is focused on proving himself. He said that he feels like he does not deserve the hype because he has not done anything at the college level. So, he is focused on proving that he is worthy of what fans and media members are saying about him.
Manning will have a difficult first test this season. The Longhorns are set to face the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes in their first game of the season on Aug. 30.
