Dante Moore Shares His Stats and Takeaways After First Spring Game at Oregon
Making his anticipated debut as Oregon’s probable starting quarterback, Moore wrapped up the Ducks’ 2025 spring game by completing 12 of 20 passes for 140 yards. Although he did not record a touchdown or interception, Moore showed poise and efficiency despite a dominant defensive showing that produced 11 sacks.
A significant highlight of Moore’s day was his connection with tight end Kenyon Sadiq, who hauled in seven receptions for 102 yards.
Reflecting on his first outing, Moore said,
“I feel like overall today was good, just to have fun, if there was negative or positive plays out there. Being out there in the environment with the fans, that was the biggest takeaway. Fans always show out, we’ve got the best fans in the world.” He added, “It was just a great, sunny day in Eugene, so I can’t complain.”
Moore noted personal growth over the spring, calling it the best he has experienced in his three years.
“Overall, it’s understanding that I have some goals I need to meet, and one of them is being a great leader. I do that by the way I move on the field, but also being vocal,” Moore said.
He emphasized improvements in reading defenses, finding open targets, and ball security, crediting his coaches for guiding his progress.
“I feel like I did a really great job with that, talking to the O-Line, running the huddle, etc. I’ve done a really good job of speeding myself up through reads, finding the open players, and protecting the ball. Overall, I feel like I’ve had a great spring and I’m blessed to have great coaches to help me get better every day.”
Moore also spoke about his excitement for former teammate Dillon Gabriel, who was drafted.
