Danny was just 27 months old when he was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive disease. The tumor was larger than his heart and required immediate and intense therapy, resulting in a 17-month hospital stay.
Despite the difficulties, Danny’s persistent attitude shone through, and he accomplished remission.
Danny was introduced to the University of Delaware football squad through the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation in 2014. The Blue Hens welcomed him as an honorary member and assigned him locker No. 26. This connection gave Feltwell a sense of stability and friendships, which supported him to heal and rehabilitate.
