Analyst Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network shared his Mock Draft 3.0, which features two quarterbacks and two edge rushers being selected in the top five of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Let’s take a look at who Jeremiah thinks will go where in his latest mock draft.

Daniel Jeremiah’s Top-5 Should Come as No Surprise
Daniel Jeremiah, an analyst for NFL Network, named Miami QB prospect Cam Ward as the first overall pick in his Mock Draft 3.0. The quarterback would go to the Tennessee Titans, who hold the first overall pick.
The Titans have little, if any, veteran QB presence to speak of and are in desperate need of a quarterback.

Ward’s journey through college football, from Incarnate Word to Washington State and then to Miami, is well documented. While he utilized the transfer portal throughout his career, he most flourished with the Hurricanes and even earned Heisman Trophy votes.
Last season, he had a 67% pass completion rate with 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and four rushing TDs. He also won the ACC Player of the Year and the Manning Award.
As for the second overall pick, which is held by the Cleveland Browns, Jeremiah wrote, “You can make a strong argument that taking [Penn State EDGE Abdul] Carter and waiting for a second-tier QB in Round 2 is the better option.”
Abdul Carter was a dominant edge rusher at Penn State where he started 16 games, amassed 68 tackles, two forced fumbles, and ranked seventh with 12 sacks. He was a First-Team All-American, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and Defensive Lineman of the Year.
The Browns’ scoring defense ranked 27th in the NFL last year with a 25.6-point allowed average.
Jeremiah writes that the Giants could take Abdul Carter if he is available at Pick No. 3, but if he is gone, count on them taking Colorado QB prospect Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders, along with Ward, is one of the top two quarterbacks in this year’s draft.
During his time in Boulder, he completed 74% of his 477 passes, ranked second with 353 completions, tallied a school-record 37 passing TDs to just 10 INTs, and set another school record with 4,134 passing yards.

Two-way Colorado star and 2024 Heisman winner Travis Hunter is the fourth overall pick in Jeremiah’s third mock to the New England Patriots. He amassed 1,258 yards on 96 receptions for a 13.1 average per catch with 15 touchdowns as a wide receiver.
On defense, Hunter tallied 32 tackles and four interceptions in 12 games as a cornerback, tying him for fourth in interceptions nationally. Jeremiah also called him “their most potent weapon for Drake Maye,” referring to the Patriots’ expected starting QB.
Another edge rusher with a strong college career, Georgia Bulldog Jalon Walker, is predicted to go fifth overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jeremiah writes that Walker “would form a dynamic trio with Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. The latter would kick inside on passing downs to give all three players the chance to rush the passer at the same time.”
Walker’s 2024 season with the Georgia Bulldogs saw him win the Dick Butkus Award as the top Linebacker while leading the Bulldogs with 10 1/2 tackles for loss. He also tied for the team lead with 6 1/2 sacks. He started 11 games and had 60 tackles with two pass breakups.
It is widely known EDGE rushers and quarterbacks are among the most valuable positions in drafts. With the 2025 NFL Draft weeks away, we’ll see if Jeremiah’s prediction is right and if two QBs and two EDGEs are selected in the first five picks.
