While over 200 players get drafted annually, many others usually go undrafted. This doesn’t necessarily mean the end of their professional careers as teams regularly pick up players as undrafted free agents (UDFA). They get invited to camps to show what they are made of, and some eventually crack the rotation.
Former Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor is one of those players who have been allowed to prove themselves as UDFA, and the wide receiver seems to be literally grabbing the opportunity with both hands during camp with the San Francisco 49ers.

Reporter Says Isaiah Neyor Shows “Randy Moss-Like” Potential After 49ers Minicamp
Isaiah Neyor wasn’t really productive in his collegiate career, which explains why he went undrafted. However, the San Francisco 49ers signed him as a UDFA anyway.
Reports coming out of the 49ers minicamp suggest that Neyor is firing on all cylinders and has a chance of making the team. Reporter Matt Barrows of The Athletic even compared Neyor to an NFL legend.
Matt Barrows on UDFA WR Isaiah Neyor:

“The most visibly striking receiver in the minicamp was undrafted rookie Isaiah Neyor. Barrows said. He cuts a Randy Moss-like silhouette with a thin frame and long arms and legs. His big stride gobbles up yardage and immediately forces cornerbacks to turn and run with him.”
Barrows went on to say that Neyor certainly looked like the most gifted receiver at the rookie minicamp and hinted that the 49ers may have found another gem among their undrafted free agents.
While Neyor didn’t produce enough output in college, he did show that he could make big plays. He caught 17 touchdown passes and averaged a whopping 18.3 yards per catch. He also runs a 4.40. He’s undeniably talented, and his acquisition is a low-risk one.

If he continues to improve, Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers might have a gem on their hands. The head coach always seems to find talented wide receivers who have been overlooked.
