Deion Sanders has been under the spotlight for his larger-than-life personality, time and time again. While sometimes it may be about his “flashy” accessories, he’s also criticized for making bold statements about his sons and even Colorado.
Many fans assumed Coach Prime would jump ship once Shedeur and Shilo left to fulfill their NFL dreams and leave Colorado. However, Deion denied those rumors and will now take on his year 3 with the program.
Talking about his future with the program, ex-Cowboys star Quincy Avery said that what bothers him about Deion Sanders is that it’s all about him, not the people of Colorado.
Avery shared that it might get tough for him now that his sons are gone and that the Colorado head coach will now have to make a decision on his future.
“The reason I have such a difficult time with Deion is because so many of the things he does, it’s about him rather than other people, I think that a lot of people miss that. So we get to see who he is as a person when he has to take on this team without his sons involved.”
“My forecast is that at some point this year, it’s going to get really, really difficult and Deion Sanders is going to have to make a real decision,” Avery said on the Maggie and Perloff show recently. “Was he doing this the whole time to prop his son up and help him become this top-tier quarterback — which he did help him do? Or does he want to do this because he really cares about the kids?”
“He’s going to really find out if this is something that he truly loves or was he loving it because he got to help out his kids in a real way.”@QuincyAvery says Deion Sanders is going to find out a lot about himself this upcoming season. pic.twitter.com/QUxAzd6u4P

Ex-NFL Star Offers Insight on Deion Sanders’ Health
After his son Shedeur Sanders’ dramatic draft slide, Deion Sanders reportedly had an impact on his health, due to which he even ended up losing 14 lbs in the last few weeks.
Coach Prime also missed many practice sessions with the Buffaloes due to the same reason. However, he’s now expected to make a comeback soon enough.
Ex-NFL star Adam Jones recently gave fans some insight about Deion’s health. During an appearance on “Bet Online”, he said:
“Had a chance to go see Deion,” Jones said. “He’s doing really good. I think he’s got another week at home before they get started. He’ll be there. He’ll be ready to go. And thanks to everybody that has been praying and sending good thoughts and good prayers his way.”
